Background and Discussion:
As part of the FY25 budget amendments, Commissioners' Court approved the request code 2209 "Establish the rank of Detective within the Sheriff's Office" as part of the HCSO's annual budget. We respectfully request this rank be established within the Precinct 2 Constable's Office as well for Deputy Investigators who currently perform the same job function. The requested salary scale will consist of 3 pay steps and should be included in the Law Enforcement salary plan. The proposed salary is as follows:
