Request by the Constable of Precinct 3 for approval to add one classification to the Constable's salary structure for the rank of "Detective" effective November 2, 2024. If approved, position reclassifications will be submitted on the December 10th Commissioners Court meeting.

Background and Discussion:
As part of the FY25 budget amendments, Commissioners' Court approved the request code 2209 "Establish the rank of Detective within the Sheriff's Office" as part of the Harris County Sheriff's Office's annual budget.
In an effort to maintain the established fair and equitable pay within all Harris County Law Enforcement agencies, we respectfully request this same rank of detective and be established within the Precinct 3 Constable's Office and applied to the Harris County Law Enforcement Salary Plan. The proposed salary is as follows:
