Background and Discussion:
Change Order includes additional costs to accelerate the schedule for the 2 shuttle elevators and 2 garage elevators.
Expected Impact:
Without the renovations of the interior of the elevators, the modernization efforts would be incomplete. The elevators would not have the correct lighting, notifications, buttons, and handicap requirements for a complete project. The motor must be placed as the elevators would be un-operatable for a building with over 1,000 Harris County employees.
Alternative Options:
If the timeline is not expedited, then Harris County employees would incur additional work hardship that could have otherwise been prevented.
