Background and Discussion:
Constable Jerry Garcia is requesting to assign an already existing approved position to the Organization Crime Drug Enforcement Task Force to bring monetary gains to the County and the Department of Precinct 2 Constable office.
Expected Impact:
There will be no impact to the general fund budget. There is no required match for this grant. Harris County Constable Precinct 2 will receive $11,000 for the MDS Initiative for the FY 2025 HIDTA grant. Grant funds will enable the department to continue providing several law enforcement initiatives aimed at reducing the supply and trafficking of illegal drugs.
