Background and Discussion:
The County has the ability to appoint one Director to the TIRZ 01 Board as a result of the Court's approval of an interlocal agreement between the county, the City of Houston, TIRZ 1, and the Saint George Redevelopment Authority. Since TIRZ 01 is largely within the boundaries of Precinct 4, the commissioner of that precinct may nominate a candidate for the position as provided in the adopted Boards and Commissions Uniform Board Policies and Procedures, Section 8, D. Appointment Process.
