Request for approval to internally transfer funds associated with Harris County Universal Services tabletop exercises (TTX) to help prepare for emergencies and improve county-wide response capabilities, and funding will also support Employee Engagement Activities.

Background and Discussion:
Universal Services has brought to the forefront all-hazards planning including tabletop exercises, to better prepare Harris County on all-hazards events, further contributing to departmental resilience. These exercises are conducted in partnership with departments across the County. In FY 2024, Critical Incident Response Plan was practiced during the exercise. For FY 25 another critical scenario of Disaster would be practiced. These exercises are conducted throughout the course of the year to better prepare. We are requesting funds to cover the food and beverage costs for employees of the department for the annual Rehearsal of Concept/disaster recovery, DHS-mandated TTX, Public Service Awards and the annual Employee Engagement Activity.
