Background and Discussion:
On May 10, 2022, Commissioners Court approved an 18-month agreement between Harris County and Career and Recovery Resources, Inc. (CRR) for the Employ2Empower Program using a total of $1,612,874.00 in American Rescue Plan Local Fiscal Recovery Funds (ARPA) to employ homeless persons and recently housed formerly homeless persons and provide case management, wrap-around services, and workforce development training to assist the participants in achieving economic stability.
On October 31, 2023, Commissioners Court approved a one-year agreement between Harris County and Career and Recovery Resources, Inc. for the Employ2Empower Program using a total of $1,508,381.00 in General Funds to continue to provide the services referenced above.
Expected Impact:
The total allocation for this project will be $1,518,000.00 in General Funds.
