Background and Discussion:
This On-Call Contract provides Playground Fall Surface Replacement services of designated locations throughout Precinct 1. The purchase order is being closed at the request of the Precinct, and in accordance with the recommendation of Harris County Engineering Department. This change order will allow $29,498.72 to be added to the contract for the actual work performed.
Expected Impact:
Change allows unused funds to be returned to the Precinct and allows Contractor to be compensated for the actual work completed on the project.
Alternative Options:
Pea gravel and sand will remain as fall surfaces for parks within Precinct 1, which will restrict access, and remain below ADA standards.
