Background and Discussion:
Harris County Resources for Children and Adults has been the recipient of Child Sex Trafficking funding for five years. Monies received through this funding source has allowed Harris County Resources for Children and Adults to provide Care Coordination services among social service providers and law enforcement for child sex trafficking victims in the Houston/Harris County Region. The goals of the program are to: reduce duplicative cases and parallel interventions; divert survivors from the criminal justice system; and to shorten the time to deliver services.

Thanks to these grant funds, the TRIAD Home Safe (formerly TRIAD Child Sex Trafficking) project can offer site based services comprised of a multi-disciplinary team of experts in forensic medicine, protective services, substance use, social services, civil and criminal prosecution and law enforcement collaborating to address the complex needs of minor victims of child sex trafficking and exploitation. The award provides budget for personnel, grant-related supplies, equipment, and travel. This year, there is no match required for this funding.

Expected Impact:
This request is for salaries and fringes of eight staff for two months.
