Request by Public Health Services for approval to temporarily transfer funds from Charity Care Special Revenue - Fund 2117 in the amount of $20,000 to fund the cost of three grant positions pending receipt of the award for the Title V Child Health and Dental Program from the Texas Health and Human Services Commission, and extend the associated positions to August 31, 2025.

Background and Discussion:
The position extensions will allow dental services to continue to be provided to children and adolescents who are uninsured. The dental services provided allow children and adolescents to receive comprehensive dental care at no cost or at a minimal cost to families who meet the income guidelines.
Expected Impact:
This program supports provision of oral health services to underserved communities in addition to the promotion of oral health as a part of overall health. Without these funds, many of the recipients served by this grant would not have access to dental care. The funds will be used to pay salaries and fringe expenses
