Background and Discussion:
This project seeks to reduce flooding and strengthen resiliency in Harris County by assisting in the alleviation of structural flood damage to homes in the community. This study report is a step in the process to reduce the financial, physical, and emotional burden flood damage places on homeowners and will reduce the financial impact of recovery costs to the Prado Woods subdivision. The scope and proposed improvements consist of upsizing storm sewer system and repaving the road.
Expected Impact:
This project seeks to reduce flooding and strengthen resiliency in Harris County by assisting in the alleviation of structural flood in the Prado Woods subdivision. No impact to project cost, schedule or staffing anticipated.
Alternative Options:
The County could elect to approve or choose to reject the study recommendations. However, if not approved, the design plans cannot be completed as recommended in the study.
