Background and Discussion:
At Commissioners Court request, OMB was directed to submit an updated Public Improvement Contingency Fund Use Policy that will allow for upfront allocations for Commissioner Precinct use in the case of a countywide emergency.
Expected Impact:
Adoptions will allow for more efficient issuing of emergency purchase orders in the case of countywide emergencies so that general funds are not tied up pending a reimbursement from the PIC fund. Purchases will be recorded directly to the PIC fund.
Alternative Options:
Leave current policy as is and continue to process emergency purchases with department general funds (or other funding sources) and await for reimbursement from the PIC fund.
