Background and Discussion:
The project is to construct approximately 5,400 linear feet of 10-foot wide, 6-in thick concrete trail along west side of Scott Street from Swingle Road to South Acres Drive, as part of The Hill at Sims improvement. The acquisition will provide a safe buffer to the trail.

Expected Impact:
This project provides the important function for getting people to and from The Hill at Sims Park through multiple modes of transportation, including by bus, walking, and biking, in addition to car.

Alternative Options:
If no action is taken, the section of the trail will be against the travel lane curb. It is not safe and is against the current design criteria.
