Background and Discussion:
This project includes the reconstruction of Holderrieth Road from State Highway 249 to 850 feet west of Hufsmith-Kohrville Road. Reconstruction includes an upgrade of the roadway from a two-lane asphalt road with open ditches to a 4-lane concrete curb and gutter boulevard with a 32-foot raised median.
Relocating the stormwater system beneath the pavement was imperative with the existence of multiple utilities and a narrow Right-of-Way (ROW) along South Cherry Street. This change in the contract included adding additional cost, deduction of cost for items that were changed and were no more necessary due to the change in plans. This change order is intended to compensate the contractor for additional quantity installation.
