Background and Discussion:
The HCCO Civil Courthouse Level 3, 6, & 7 Renovation involves a partial renovation of three floors of the Harris County Civil Courthouse. Updates involve new floorplan layouts in the form of building out new offices, storage rooms, communications studio, open work areas, & a new break room. The goal of these changes is to further optimize the use of space on these floors for the benefit of the Office of the County Clerk.

This change in contract includes incidental added costs for added electrical, plumbing, and millwork scope/revisions on floors 3 & 6 brought about from existing field conditions or Owner requests. It also includes added contract calendar days to incorporate this added scope into the construction schedule.

Expected Impact:
These changes allow the contractor to bill for required changes resulting from unforeseen conditions and Owner Requests.

Alternative Options:
Should we not move forward with this change in contract, these items will remain unreconciled delaying the closeout of the contract and project.
