Background and Discussion:
Parkway Forest is in Northeast Harris County, Texas, Precinct 1. The subdivision is mainly composed of single-family homes. The residents have experienced structural flooding during several recent flood events. The purpose of this project is to reduce flooding in the subdivision. The proposed solution includes upgrading storm sewers and adding a detention pond.
The change in contract includes the following:
* Repairs to existing water line: Change in construction scope adding new line item due to the need of emergency repair to an existing water main line that was damaged because it was not shown on plans for an additional cost of $3,498.90 and 0 days.
* Repairs to existing ROW conditions: Additional quantities to replace existing damaged B-B inlet and the surrounding compromised pavement with an additional cost of $31,381.00 and 0 days.
* Water table conflict: Change in construction scope adding new line items and modifying quantities of the scope of work due to water table elevation conflict with construction process for a deduction in the amount of ($34,879.90) and 0 days.
