Background and Discussion:
Harris County Public Health currently provides vaccinations, education, and outreach to the residents of Harris County. HCPH provide those services by way of the Texas Vaccine for Children and Adult Safety Network. These services for the last year and a half have been rendered by contract workers through Harris County Public Health. Requesting full-time employees will strengthen and stabilize this program that provides such an important service to the community. The Mobile Immunization team can continue to provide services to low-income and uninsured populations seeking vaccinations to improve and maintain their quality of health for preventable diseases.

Expected Impact:
The expected impact will be an additional $364,320 in personnel expense for the remainder of the current fiscal year and $1,578,717 annually. The additional cost will be absorbed by the existing grant budget.
