Background and Discussion:
The proposed project is located at the Cypress Creek Watershed along channel K100-00-00, East of the intersection of Grant Road and Jones Road. The recommended alternative from a Cypress Creek Program Implementation Plan (K100-00-00-P007), helps to mitigate overland sheet flow, overbank flooding, insufficient drainage capacity, overflows from neighboring catchments, and tailwater influence from Sims Bayou. This project occurs in the 2nd quartile under the 2022 Prioritization Framework approved by Commissioners Court.

Expected Impact:
The project will reduce flood risk and strengthen resiliency in the Cypress Creek watershed by alleviating property and structural damage to adjacent communities.

Alternative Options:
They are no viable alternative to the requested item. If this project is not approved for PER, existing conditions would not be improved, and the flood risk would remain the same.

Alignment with Goal(s):
_ Justice and Safety
_ Economic Opportunity
_ Housing
_ Public Health
_ Transportation
