Background and Discussion:
This partnership project is in support of the West Baytown storm sewer improvement project, and it is the first of several project phases to address significant flooding that has recurred over the decades in the West Baytown area. This project will replace a storm sewer trunkline which drains a 110-acre drainage area and provides the primary outfall for the West Baytown neighborhood. Materials engineering and testing services are required to ensure that the project is constructed in accordance with the HCFCD Construction Documents. Materials engineering and testing services under this agreement will provide essential quality control and assurance, ensuring that construction materials meet specified standards and performance criteria. This quality control and assurance will help ensure that flood risk reduction projects are constructed properly.
