Background and Discussion:
Harris County Engineering Department (HCED) received a request to manage the study, design and construction of a standard four (4) lane concrete boulevard with curb and gutter on Garth Road from FM 1942 to 100' South of Sterling Summer Drive. Huffman-Cleveland Road is bounded by FM 2100 Road to the North and ends at the S102-01-00 to the South. The project aims to improve the non-standard intersection at Garth Road and FM 1942.
Expected Impact:
To provide Precinct 3 with professional engineering study, design and construction phase services for the road infrastructure for Garth Road 1 FM 1942 to South of Sterling Summer Dr - 2024. This project is funded by 2022 Bond funds.
Alternative Options:
Without this project, the new road improvements on Garth Road will not be realized as requested by Precinct 3.
