Request for approval of an allocation of $360,000 in Hotel Occupancy Tax (HOT) Funding to Spring Creek County Historical Association located in Harris County.

Background and Discussion:
In compliance with Texas Code Section 352 these funds will be used to promote tourism and promote the Convention and Hotel Industry in Harris County by relocating and renovating two historic museum structures (home and barn) to a more appropriate location and marketing efforts. Phase 1 funding, additional funding for Phase 2 (restroom facilities, parking) TBD.
Expected Impact:
The Spring Creek County Historical Association is part of the German Fest, which attracts thousands of attendees during the spring and fall. It is anticipated that the funds will result in increased attendance and Hotel Occupancies.
