Background and Discussion:
This agreement includes design, bidding, and construction phase engineering services for a stormwater detention basin. Construction of the Basin will be completed with CDBG-MIT funding. This is the first phase of the ultimate project, which consists of two planned stormwater detention basins at the site. This project occurs in the 3rd quartile under the 2022 Prioritization Framework approved by Commissioners Court.

Expected Impact:
This project seeks to reduce flood risks and strengthen resiliency in the Addicks Reservoir Watershed by alleviating property and structural damage to adjacent communities.

Alternative Options:
The alternative would be to select other firms for this assignment which would result in significant delays in completing this project, impacting CDBG deadlines.
