Harris County (the County) Universal Services (HCUS) has been engaged with County departments in using small, unmanned, or uncrewed aircraft systems (sUAS), also referred to as "drones" and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV), since 2014. HCUS will discuss developing and implementing a countywide, non-law enforcement drone program as the technology continues evolving and County usage expands.
