Background and Discussion:
Job No. 19/0239 for Inspection, Testing and Maintenance of the Fire and Life Safety Systems Equipment and Related Items for Harris County was awarded to MLN Fire Protection Company on June 30,2020. Last year, the contract was assigned an MWBE goal of 5%. MLN has only reported one (1) payment, which resulted in a 1.3% MWBE participation. MLN has ensured the County that more payments will be reported in May and June to reach the 5% MWBE goal.
