Background and Discussion:
This project includes the construction of four 11-foot-wide concrete pavement with a 24-foot median, and 8-foot-wide sidewalk along both sides West Gulf Bank Road from Interstate 45 Freeway to Airline Drive. It also includes the drainage improvements.
The change order includes the following:
- Replacing 360 linear feet of 10" pipe and adding 80 Linear Feet of 10-inch Polyvinyl Chloride pipe, installation of a 4-foot manhole. This change will add $42,940.41 and additional 86 days to the contract.
- Installing 8 linear feet of 18" reinforced concrete pipe, pouring a collar between existing reinforced concrete pipe and proposed reinforced concrete box. This change will add $6,576.07 and additional 2 days to the contract.
- The delays in project progress during the period from January 15, 2024, to January 28, 2024, were primarily attributed to adverse weather conditions, specifically freezing temperatures, and heavy rainfall, which hindered travel to the site, material delivery, and halted work due to wet site conditions.
