Background and Discussion:
Harris County Precinct One Administration Office and Service Center is a new two-story, approximately 37,000 sf building located at 2787 El Camino Street. The building will house the administrative leadership departments that serve the needs of the surrounding Harris County Precinct One community, and a well-equipped Multi-purpose Center that will accommodate the needs of the Precinct and its constituents.
This change in contract includes scope changes to building interior and exterior to maintain design intent, property insurance coverage extension, and general conditions with 118 additional calendar days.
Expected Impact:
Upon completion, this project will significantly improve the operations and efficiency of service to Harris County Precinct One Community, through a better equipped and modernized facility. This change order will ensure adequate space for staffing and equipment.
Alternative Options:
Commissioner court could postpone the change order, which would postpone the completion of the project, effecting substantial completion date.
