Background and Discussion:
This project includes the installation of approximately 3,000 linear feet of underground drainage utilities, 10,165 square yards of asphaltic surface, and 12,850 linear feet of roadside ditch for Westgate Subdivision. Alliance Laboratories, Inc. is currently providing construction materials testing services for the subdivision drainage improvements.

Expected Impact:
The amendment will allow the processing of the final invoice for additional work done. Due to oil contamination of subgrade and the means and methods of the contractor, the CMT firm needed to conduct additional field and laboratory testing on soil, concrete, asphalt, and various other construction materials to ensure the material's compliance with Harris County Engineering Department's adopted standards and specifications.

Alternative Options:
The amendment needs to be approved as the project is already completed and additional work was needed due to added scope of work.
