Background and Discussion:
The objective of the project is to repair and/or replace channel cross sections within the project limits. The project limits include approximately 5,500 linear feet along Plum Creek from the Gulf Freeway Service Road to the South Loop East Service Road. This portion of Plum Creek is owned and maintained by the City of Houston. Since this is a maintenance project, there is no specific prioritization framework score or quartile under the 2022 Prioritization framework approved by the Commissioners Court.

Expected Impact:
The channel is in poor condition and has collapsed along most of its segments. Once constructed, this project will provide a repair or replacement solution for each of the channel cross sections. Flood Control District staff will manage an engineering consultant team to execute the design stages of this project.

Alternative Options:
An alternative option is to not continue with design and construction of the project. Flood risk and deteriorated channel condition will remain the same.
