Background and Discussion:
The Housing and Community Development Department (HCD) is now requesting Commissioners Court approval of a Fourth amendment to the agreement to revise the budget to increase the project allocation by $433,988.41 in Leverage funds from Precinct 4 to adequately cover construction cost. This project is located in Precinct Four.
Expected Impact:
The total project allocation will now increase from $929,923.55 to $1,363,911.96 in CDBG and Leverage funds.
The amended revise project budget will improve sidewalks and parks within Precinct 4 area and will benefit 8,390 persons of which 60.13% who are low to moderate-income persons.
Alternative Options:
If the amendment is not approved, then the low- and moderate-income households in the project area will not benefit from the infrastructure project activities.
