Background and Discussion:
Commissioner Precinct One is responsible for ensuring the efficient, effective, and equitable management of the baseball and softball facilities at the Sheldon Sports Complex, so that they are of maximum benefit to the community. To meet that responsibility for 2024, Precinct One conducted an open process of requesting written proposals for management of facilities. Those proposals were then evaluated by a Precinct committee using a predetermined set of criteria. Based on that process, Sheldon Little League, a nonprofit Texas corporation, has been selected as the best choice for management of the Sheldon Sports Complex baseball and softball facilities for 2024.
