Background and Discussion:
The Harris County Master Gardeners Association is a non-profit organization of trained volunteers that assists the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service in disseminating research-based horticulture knowledge to the residents of Harris County. Plant sales are the primary fundraisers to support the local Master Gardener education programs throughout the year. Plant sales provide seasonal plants to the community and varieties that are selected to do well in our specific climate. Funds raised from these sales benefit a number of community organizations, including the Green Thumb Gardening Lecture Series, the Speakers' Bureau, and the Cylinder Gardening Program.
